Face lock
Lock a face so the next clip stays the same person
Face lock is the Continuity pin on MyStarClip. You drop one still you have rights to into the Face slot. Later stills and Continue hops reuse that look instead of rolling a new extra. It is not a promise the engine will hold like a makeup artist. It is the product step that makes “same person” possible at all.
- Pin once
- Still first
- Continue
- Watch drift
The loop
Pin → still → Continue → watch

1
Pin
One face you have rights to.

2
Still
See if the lock held.

3
Continue
Last frame carries the person.

4
Stitch
Join only after you watch.
The slot is a lock, not a costume shop
Studio keeps one Face slot under the prompt. JPEG, PNG, or WebP, under 3 MB. Name it if you want. Pin it. The next still and the next clip can pull that same look without hunting Library. That is the whole mechanism. There is no second hidden identity engine.
Star yourself is the rights story — you, or a fictional look you wrote. Face lock is the craft story: keep that person through the hop. The two pages are not twins. One is who you are allowed to pin. This one is how the pin survives Continue.
A group photo is a bad lock. A screenshot of someone else’s post is a banned lock. A clear adult face you own is the intended lock. Confirm the rights box. We will take down a stolen likeness.
Continue reads the last frame, not the pin
Continue does not re-open your Face slot and magically restamp the first still. It takes the last frame of the finished clip and starts the next short take there. If hop one held the face, hop two has a chance. If hop one drifted, hop two inherits the drift. Recreate when you want a clean reset instead of chaining a miss.
That is why the lock belongs on the first still and the first clip, not as a prayer on clip four. Pin first. Watch the first take. Then Continue. Ten hops max. The eleventh Continue is refused.
Stitch will join whatever face the chain actually has. A hard cut does not restore a lock you already lost. Watch the chain. Then pay the six-coin join.
What face lock is not
It is not a consistent-character product that solves dialogue. Two faces can share a still. They do not become a scripted conversation because you pinned two looks. Write talk in the prompt and expect drift.
It is not a dating product and not a gallery of other people. Public is a per-job Library flag. House faces on Characters are original AI looks — not real people — and they are optional pins, not a feed.
It is not a filter bypass. Optional Mature Content stays off until an adult turns it on in Settings. Face lock works in the standard catalog. The toggle does not make the pin stronger.
Try free, then Generate
New accounts start with 38 coins. No card. That is enough to pin a face, make a still, and see whether the lock held before you buy a Coin Pack. Coin Plan and Coin Plan Annual grant more coins that never expire. Failed jobs return coins. A finished miss does not.
Open Studio to pin and Generate. Open Continue when a clip is done. Open Stitch when two hops exist. Pack yield — including the stitch fee — is on Pricing.
You are responsible for prompts, uploads, reference stills, and likeness, publicity, and consent. Generated stills and clips are not guaranteed.
Rights and likeness are on star yourself. Last-frame hops are on Continue. The join is on Stitch. The full loop is on how it works. Pack yield is on Pricing.
Questions
- Is face lock the same as star yourself?
- No. Star yourself is the likeness and rights path. Face lock is the Continuity pin that tries to keep that person across stills and Continue hops.
- Does Continue re-apply my Face slot?
- No. Continue starts from the last frame of the last clip. The pin helps the first take. Drift in that take becomes the next start still.
- Do I have to upload a face?
- No. You can write a look in text. Continuity is weaker that way. The intended lock is a clear adult face you have rights to.
- Where do I start?
- Try free — 38 coins, no card — then pin in Studio. Continue from a finished clip. Stitch when two hops are done.
